Swansea Council has confirmed that half an acre of open space at the junction of Valley View and Rhyd-y-Defaid Drive in Sketty, Swansea, is to be registered as a town green.

The application for registration was made by Dr J Watson in 2006.  The land is owned by the local authority, who did not object to the application. The council’s development committee agreed that evidence provided by Dr Watson and his supporters, who submitted 53 evidence forms, met the statutory criteria that the land had been used by local people for 20 years.
